Seecarré Quarter

The Seecarré forms part of the "Green Axis" of Seestadt. Situated on the western section of Sonnenallee in northern Seestadt, the new quarter is green and largely car-free, with integrated traffic-calming measures. Featuring tree-lined residential streets, meandering thoroughfares, a cycling street and foot and bike paths, the neighbourhood is designed for tranquillity. Multiple green courtyards between the buildings and a small public park provide space for play and relaxation.

A quiet, green neighbourhood for all generations

For home-hunters there's a good mix of subsidised and privately financed flats, all with private outdoor spaces in the form of balconies or terraces. Ground-floor flats with small private gardens are also available for gardening aficionados. The Seecarré has its own communal garage for convenient parking just a short walk away, plus two nurseries that make it a perfect neighbourhood for families with young children.

Amenities at a glance

  • Largely car-free zone with traffic-calming measures
  • Residential area with tree-lined thoroughfares, a cycling street and attractive foot and bike paths
  • Small central park with play facilities and space for relaxation
  • Excellent social infrastructure including two nurseries
  • Communal garages within walking distance for safe, convenient parking
  • Adjacent to shopping and leisure zone
  • Planned school campus in the immediate vicinity
Small retail units are also planned along this stretch of Sonnenallee, which has a distinctly green feel. To the east, the new quarter is adjoined within walking distance by the Lakeside Terraces and the Co-Creative Mile. This vibrant shopping and leisure zone will stretch from Aspern Nord station to Zaha-Hadid-Platz on the lakeside, providing facilities for local residents as well as serving as a regional centre for a much wider catchment area beyond Seestadt.

The Seecarré Quarter reflects the hallmark qualities of Seestadt's "Green Axis", functioning as an "outdoor living room" with the emphasis on community interaction. As a safe, traffic-calmed, child-friendly corridor, it will serve as a laid-back zone for local residents to linger and relax.
